Meet Our Team
Rhiannon “Rhia” Funke
Rhia Funke, our founding partner, began her legal career during the financial crisis of 2008. After a brief clerkship at the Second District Court of Appeal in Florida, Rhia decided to focus on small business and real estate law.
Rhia now has a decade of managing complex real property matters and volume litigation. During her time representing large corporate clients, she has successfully litigated hundreds of bench trials, appeals, and motions.
In addition to Rhia’s experience in property litigation, she also has experience in banking and securities compliance, having clerked with the in house counsel department at Raymond James and TransAmerica, as well as having assisted major bank litigation departments and Fannie Mae with compliance issues in the foreclosure context. This gave her experience with OCC, FINRA, SEC, HUD, and similar regulatory/administrative agencies, and researching the promulgated rules to ensure that her clients were best able to navigate complex compliance issues.
Rhia has built her reputation on being accessible to her clients. Her goal is to make complex legal issues easily understood by both her clients and the court. Rhia focuses her practice on real property, contract and commercial disputes, estate planning and probate, and general civil litigation.
Kali Larsen
Kali comes to Funke Law Firm with about 10 years of combined administrative and management experience including work in human resources, payroll, information technology, customer service, and management. While she is newer to the legal field, she has proven chops in all the areas of file management and problem solving that make an excellent paralegal, Kali has also been receiving extensive training both in-house, and through a paralegal mentorship, training with a paralegal who has over twenty-five years of experience. We look forward to watching Kali learn the ropes and eventually take the reins providing excellent client assistance and legal support.
